description	Perry State Park is located on the southwestern shores of Perry Reservoir. The modern campgrounds have 110 electric and water utility sites, primitive campsites, two boat ramps with courtesy docks, five shower houses, two dump stations, 4 rental cabins, and a fish cleaning station. The park trail system has more than 40 miles of trails. 15 miles of mountain bike trails, 25 miles of horse trails and a one mile nature trail. Perry provides an abundant wildlife watching opportunities. Many birders make the area a routine stop. Perry State Park is open year round and offers many recreational opportunities from camping, boating, hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife watching.
drivingDirection	From the East Take I-70 W toward Topeka (Portions Toll). Take Exit 204 toward US-24/US-59/East Lawrence. At the stoplight, turn North (left) onto US-40 E/US-59 N/US-24 W and take this road for about 8 miles. US-59 N and US-24 W will split; Stay on US-24 W. Follow US-24 W for 10 miles (5 miles W of Perry). Turn North (right) onto HWY KS-237 and take this road for 4 miles. The State Park Office will be on the left side of the road. From the West Take I-70 E toward Topeka. Take US-75 N (right) via Exit 358 for about 2 miles. Merge onto US-24 E (right) toward Lawrence for about 14 miles. Exit North (left) onto HWY KS-237 and take this road for 4 miles. The State Park Office will be on the left side of the road. From the North Take US-75 S toward Topeka. Merge onto US-24 E (right) toward Lawrence for about 14 miles. Merge North (left) onto HWY KS-237 and take this road for 4 miles. The State Park Office will be on the left side of the road. From the South Take I-335 N toward Topeka (portions toll). I-335 N becomes I-470 E (portions toll). Merge onto HWY KS-4 E via Exit 182 and follow for about 5 miles. Merge onto US-24 E toward Kansas City/Lawrence for about 8 miles. Turn North (left) onto HWY KS-237 and take this road for 4 miles. The State Park Office will be on the left side of the road. From the North-East Take HWY KS-4 toward Topeka. Turn East (left) onto HWY KS-92 and follow for 2 miles. Turn South (right) on Westlake Road and follow for 3 miles until the road comes to a "T" junction; Westlake Road continues to the left. Follow left for 2 miles. Go South past the Rock Creek Marina over the bridge. The State Park Office will be on the right side of the road on-top of the hill.

importantInformation	You must be 18 or older to rent a cabin or campsite. Office Hours are 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday. Only one camping unit per camp pad. One additional tent may be allowed for dependent children. Camping units shall not be left unoccupied for more than 24 hours. Smoking is prohibited in all State Park buildings. Subject to regulations and posted notices, any individual over 21 may possess, consume, or drink alcoholic liquor. Kegs and party balls are strictly prohibited. Any motorized vehicles operated within state parks must be registered (having a license plate) and must display a valid state park vehicle permit. Electric and gas powered scooters and skateboards cannot be operated in the state park. ATV use is prohibited in the state park. Camping is allowed only in designated areas and is subject to restrictions as posted. All campers and camping units are limited to a stay not more than 14 consecutive days although a 14-day extension may be obtained with written permission from the park manager. A five-day absence is required before returning to the park to camp again. Any property left unused or unoccupied for 48 hours is subject to removal. Fires are allowed in fireplaces, fire rings, and cooking grills only. Fires must be completely extinguished prior to leaving the area. Swimming allowed in designated areas. Liquor and beer are prohibited on swimming beaches or in waters designated as swimming areas. For other beverages, only shatterproof containers are allowed. Pets must always be restrained by a camper, cage, hand-held leash, or tethered chain no longer than 10 feet. They are not allowed on swimming beaches, areas that are delineated by markers, public buildings or structures. No pets are allowed inside the cabins. Dogs participating in authorized activities or assisting the visually or hearing impaired are not subject to these restrictions. A special event permit is required for any event involving entrance fees, exclusive use of an area, sales, organized competition, amplified sound, or reservation of a specific site or facility. Check with the park office for details. Fishing is prohibited on boat ramps, courtesy docks, swimming beaches, and in swimming areas marked with buoys. Fish may only be cleaned at designated fish cleaning stations or other locations posted. Boats may not be operated within 200 feet of any area posted specifically for swimming and delineated by markers. No-wake speeds required within 200 feet of a boat ramp/dock. Vessels left unattended at courtesy docks are subject to removal. Fireworks are prohibited. Digging holes, removing or defacing geological formations, archeological relics or ruins, or vegetation (except for noncommercial use of edible wild plants, wild fruits, nuts, or fungi) is prohibited. Quiet hours are 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Generators cannot be used during quiet hours. Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the park. Firearms may only be discharged in areas specifically designated for hunting or target practice. DUMPING GREY WATER IS PROHIBITED. Trails are open during daylight hours only. No camping, fires, or motorized vehicles are allowed on the trails. Please use caution when crossing roadways. Information in this brochure has been prepared as a guide, not a complete list.
